Haughty and proud,
She looks down at him,
He approaches warily,
An offering in hand.
She sits up,
Showing curious interest,
For the offered object
Is full of Intrigue.
He grins in triumph,
She looks down at him,
He approaches warily,
An offering in hand.
She sits up,
Showing curious interest,
For the offered object
Is full of Intrigue.
He grins in triumph,
Pleased he has pleased.
And with a flick of a wrist,
And with a flick of a wrist,
A performance now begins.
She darts and pounces,
She darts and pounces,
At an astonishing speed,
She swipes and slashes,
Thus the target now bleeds.
He watches with an awe,
That is barely concealed,
At a Master at play,
An unrivalled skill indeed.
Delight fills them,
Both watcher and Master,
As she riptoses and strikes,
With an obvious glee.
A scream rings out,
Cutting them both short,
His sister arrives,
Anger in her voice.
" My doll, you fool!
You've ripped it so!"
As he grins sheepishly,
The cat flees the scene.
He watches with an awe,
That is barely concealed,
At a Master at play,
An unrivalled skill indeed.
Delight fills them,
Both watcher and Master,
As she riptoses and strikes,
With an obvious glee.
A scream rings out,
Cutting them both short,
His sister arrives,
Anger in her voice.
" My doll, you fool!
You've ripped it so!"
As he grins sheepishly,
The cat flees the scene.
* A silly, fun piece. I didn't bother much about the ryhming.
